Through yoga, kriyas and pranayama, this workshop invites you to experience how conscious breathing can influence your physical practice and the way you respond to everyday life.
Pranayama is often translated as “breath control”, though its meaning extends far beyond breathing exercises alone. Derived from the Sanskrit words prana, meaning vital life force or energy, and ayama, meaning to expand or extend, pranayama is the practice of working consciously with the breath to cultivate greater awareness and regulation of body and mind. For thousands of years, it has formed an integral part of the yogic tradition, valued for its physiological effects and its ability to prepare the practitioner for deeper states of concentration and meditation.
